Falling under the Presidential Housing Programme, the massive infrastructure project is being implemented in partnership with prominent property developer Philip Chiyangwa through his company, Pinnacle Holdings. It targets a transition from renting to permanent equity.

Infrastructure First
Work is already progressing on critical infrastructure, including road networks. Sewer systems and drainage are next. Officials mandate that these residential areas will only be occupied once water, sewer, and electricity infrastructure are fully in place.

Speaking during a site visit, Local Government and Public Works Minister Daniel Garwe noted the initiative primarily targets security services, legislators, and parliamentary staff to ensure affordable home ownership.
15-Year Mortgages
To improve affordability, the housing stands will be backed by mortgage facilities offering repayment periods of up to 15 years, transitioning workers securely onto the property ladder.
